DL380G4 and MSA20. Don't see the discs
« on: June 28, 2006, 09:55:07 am »

Hello

I have one DL380G4 with a MSA1500cs and one MSA20 with 12 250GBytes SATA discs.

I also have two HBA fiber channel cards and they seem to be ok, but I don't see the discs or maybe I'm losing something clear. That's what dmesg says:

One of the HBA's s plugged, the other is unplugged. I think I'm doing something wrong. ¿Where are the discs?. I have also installed and running hpasm hpsmh and cpqacuxe, but I don't see anything.

¿Can you advice me if I'm missing something?

Thanks in advance for your answers and sorry for my bad english.

Hello again. I think I have done a poor explanation.

I have installade hpasm, hpsmh and cpqacuxe. Both hpasm and hpsmh are taked from this site, with the .sh scripts provided in the download section, latest version. The version for cpqacuxe is 7.40-9, from the CD provided with the server.

When I run hpsmh, there is no error involved, but when I try to access http://<serverip>:2301/, I receive a timeout advice like this:

"A timeout occurred  while loading data from the HP
System Management Homepage which may result  in missing or incomplete
information. See the HP System Management Homepage log for additional
information."

Every time I click on Setting, Log and so on, I receive the same Error or Advice, and I can't see ACU to configure the RAID.

Can somebody give me a hand? Thanks a lot
