Hi,

first of all: very glad to see a forum like this.
I installed debian on many machines, but it will soon be the first time i have to install it on HP server.

It will be a DL350 G2. After all that i read there should be no problem... right?

I will also have to install Debian on another server: a good old TC 4100... That makes some headache. It's quite old, and i have no idea if debian or Ubuntu, which i prefer meanwhile, will run on that machine.

Any experiences with that?

No experiences, but if you have any idea about the hardware specs, it should be pretty easy to find out if it will work. Since it's an older machine, I don't think it'll be a problem, but I haven't tried it before..

If you manage to get it running, please post your experiences.. (good or bad Wink

)

Hey, thanks for ur answer.
I will surely write about my experinces with the servers ;-)
So far i can only say that booting the ML350 G2 from an Ubuntu Live CD works well, i saw some HP stuff running by in the boot / shutdown screen. I didn't have much time to try mounting the HDD or so, no idea if it would have worked.
I hope i have the time to so some more tests this week...
