I ve problems to install woody on dl360g4 raid1 scsi
With the Sarge it's ok (i just have to recompile the kernel for the hyghmemory, smp and multithreading).
The problem is that i ve installed oracle client + apache + php5 + openssl... on my old server (woody); I spent one week to manage this install and i ve not the time to spent one more week for the sarge (my boss is oppressant).
I know these applications works with woody, it s the reason why i want to keep this distrib.
The raid is configured because the Sarge see the raid.
With the mini iso for DL380G3, the disks are found, i can partition and install, but during the first reboot, the system hang without Kernel panic and reboot again and again.
Something goes wrong but i dont know what; The kernel of this iso is 2.4.27 with high mem (2go), smp (2 3.6 xeon).
With the standard woody (2.4.18) disks are not found.
Perhaps can i try to make a custom iso: woody + 2.4.29 of the sarge? But how?
