Debian on ML350 G5
« on: December 16, 2006, 11:01:48 am »

Hi!

I have a problem with installation of Sarge on my new HP server. I will be very, very grateful for help!

My hardware is:

HP ProLiant ML350 G5
4096MB RAM
2 x Xeon 1,86GHz
HP NC373i Multifunction Gigabit Adapter
HP SmartArray E200i Controller

Usign HP SmartStart CD, I've created RAID 1+0 using 4x250GB disks, therefore getting one 512GB logical drive.

I'm starting to install Sarge from official Sarge 3.1 DVD, and:
 - Network card is not detected. (Manually selecting tg3, also with "linux26" boot option doesn't work - it gets back to "manual select driver" menu). If I skip this step:
 - No hard disk is detected. The message is: "No partitionable media were found".

Could you please help me solve these problems?

Best wishes!
Adrian
