I recently aquired a DL380 G1 and while I can load Sarge just fine I am not able to load Debian Etch (beta 3 installer) or upgrade to an Etch kernel. If I do install Sarge and then upgrade the kernel, I get an error about the cpqarray not being found and the root parition is not mounted. The problem is supposed to be fixed, according to
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=380272 , but I am seeing the same problem when trying to boot 2.6.17-2-686 .
Anyone have any suggestions on how to proceed from here? I can boot the default Sarge kernel (2.6.8-3-386), but I would like to try out XEN and that means I need to get something newer working.
