I happened upon your post and am working on the same problems.
change line 1470 of /opt/hp/hp-OpenIPMI/drivers/char/ipmi/ipmi_si_intf.c to (IRQF_SHARED|IRQF_DISABLED),
I'm still working out the rest of it.
