HP supports Debian Etch !

HP now also supports Debian 4.0 Etch and has Debian packages available! You can download them for free on their website!

To find out if your Proliant server is supported, look at the Capabilities Matrix .

The official Debian wiki also holds great information on the topic.

Does this mean our forum/website is obsolete? I don't think so but we welcome your opinions and experiences on the forum!

HP officially supports Debian

Hewlett-Packard is throwing its support behind the Debian Linux distribution, the first major hardware maker to align itself with the noncommercial community-based Linux offering.

HP, Palo Alto, California, says it will support Debian Linux on its ProLiant and HP BladeSystem servers, and what it says is the industry's first Debian Linux customizable thin client from a major vendor, the new HP t5725 Thin Client server.
