Proliant servers G5 and G6 support Debian Lenny

Most of you already know that HP now also supports Debian Lenny on the G5 and G6 models.

Some servers don't officially support Linux (like the ML110 G5) but that won't keep us from installing Debian onto them of course!

Also, don't forget, some machines need an extra firmware to use the Broadcom NetXtreme II network controller.  More info can be found here:

HP supports Debian Etch !

HP now also supports Debian 4.0 Etch and has Debian packages available! You can download them for free on their website!

To find out if your Proliant server is supported, look at the Capabilities Matrix .

And you can also find the documentation on the Linux for Proliant site .

The official Debian wiki also holds great information on the topic.

Does this mean our forum/website is obsolete? I don't think so but we welcome your opinions and experiences on the forum!
